Welcome to my refreshed Monday Peeve! Unburden yourself of an annoyance and you’ll feel better afterward. Or not. Complain in my comments or crab in your own post. Doesn’t have to be on a Monday. You do you.
What’s up with Target lately? The other week I placed an order for pickup one night and received a notice at 9AM saying it was ready. I went after work at 6PM and not only wasn’t it ready, but even after I waited in my car for 20 minutes nothing happened. I asked one of the workers about my order, and they said it was still being processed. WTF? So I left and received a refund. Today (Sunday) I went to buy a couple bottles of wine for a meetup and waited in line for 15 minutes. When it was my turn, the cashier said sorry but he couldn’t sell it to me because he was underage. So I waited in another line for 10 more minutes. HELLO! How about putting a sign on which registers have clerks able to sell alcohol? Management fail.
At least they delivered my two packages of kitty litter to my door. As long as Gatsby is happy, right?

We had a similar experience at a store. We ordered something online. Waited in our car for twenty minutes after our scheduled pick-up time to be told they didn’t have the product in stock.

I noticed the koffee klatch in the complex lobby was grilling the delivery people about who they were delivering to even asking what it was so I changed my destination to my back patio door and even the delivery people prefer it. I guess these k k people have no lives and have to nose in on others. I also get a knock on my door and someone yells out my name and that I have a pkg if it’s delivered inside. Irritating! 🙄

I can think why that was annoying. It is like waiting for a tradesman, and they say between 9 and 5, turning up late rather than early.

My husband tells me that the grocery store at home that sells alcohol they have signs above the checkouts that say whether or not you check out alcohol. Target needs to do the same.

I’ve always found Target to be overrated as a retailer. I feel like the memes I see about Target are all like, Target is da bomb, or “my wife went to Target, there goes three hours and my paycheck, lol” and I’m like, Target is very ok, but really not that great. Then again, my Target doesn’t sell alcohol. Maybe I’d think Target was da bomb if they sold alcohol….

Oh interesting! Yeah, they are good for some things, like toys and paper products, but it’s easier to have them deliver than to hassle with the store…
