You’re the icing on my cake
Luscious swirl of buttercream
No need for extra sprinkle shake
You’re the icing on my cake
I can’t resist that coconut flake
It’s the topping of my dream
You’re the icing on my cake
Luscious swirl of buttercream

This is such a lovely triolet, Paula! I haven’t tried combining the quadrille with this form, but now I think I will ❤

Well done! I love the triolet form. When we’re restricted to 44 words it seems counter-intuitive to repeat lines, but you’ve just proved that it works beautifully.

Thanks! I’ve seen it done by others and it seemed a good fit 😀

I love it. The repetition works so well. Does your cat have a sweet tooth?? :>)

He will eat coconut shreds, though not other sweets. He probably thinks it’s grass!

Hope he doesn’t cough it back up! :>)

The two forms blended well and this made me hungry. Looks like I may have to compete with a kitty for cake though.

Gatsby looks like he’s contemplating batting that coconut frosting. Did he?

He likes the shreds ~ I think they remind him of grass. Supposedly cats can’t taste sweetness…
