Transient

Misty forest stream

Soft gray scarf of dawn
Winds around misty mountains
Transient harmony
Soon to shatter discordant
By the demands of the day

  3. I like this a lot. Opening one’s eyes to the gray scarf of dawn is so comforting but it’s all temporary until the anxieties wake up. Very beautiful and true.

  5. Very nice. I like the soft gray scarf of dawn, too. In this case, the picture as as prompt really does help, I imagine. The idea being, I guess, to jog the mind, at least a little, out of its usual linguistic ruts.
