When Everything Is Broken

twilight river forest moon

Memories throw
A twisted shadow
Between grief and dreams–
A twilight of the soul
When everything is broken.
The moon is rising,
Full and mute,
Creating space:
A lull between nothing
And possibility.
It’s time to breathe
The dark, starlit air
And maybe believe
I have something
Left to give.
