Letting Go

Fitzgerald quote

Apples, nutmeg, pumpkin pie,
Cinnamon-sprinkled afternoons…
I’m learning how to say goodbye
Under a sky full of lost balloons.
October bakes up crisp and sweet;
Old friends stop to say hello;
Leaves crunch softly at my feet–
There’s beauty in the letting go.
