First Whirled Problem

Swirling dancing rainbow flames couple

I had some plans, but he lit a match,
And we danced for hours
Under a slivered moon.
He took my breath,
Then gave it back,
With starlight chimes
Heralding the end too soon.
Was he sent by Thoth
This wayward muse,
To return my drive
From the sea of blues?
Otherwise, it’s a crime
To shift the tides,
Revealing a swath of time
Barren and bruised.
Minute pass;
I start to write…
Making it all worthwhile.
