Shadows of Silence

Willow tree pond ducks shadows

The line of ducks is quiet
As the willow weeps beside me;
We have formed a strange alliance
In the shadows of this silence.
River ripples blue and violet,
Untroubled by a conscience;
Forgetting is asylum,
When my mind becomes an island.
