
Geese and goslings wait in line—
Did they show up to say goodbye?
My daughter and I walked these shores,
Cold and breezy, with dogs galore;
A one hour flight or a seven hour drive…
Oh Alameda, this is the last time.

The geese and ducks are pairing up here so we should be seeing youngsters in a couple of months. I love the way the geese form creches. Great to watch them grow.
