Surrender to the mermaid’s song;
Listen to her voice sublime.
Your life has been a constant fight—
Oh, my dear, I know you’re tired.
This lullaby shall soothe your fire;
Rest now on this greenest isle.
The war will find you ere too long;
Sleep now under blue moonlight.
