Chores Galore [99 words]

Blueberry picking

Other people’s chores sound much more fun. Here, it’s all dusting and groceries and laundry, humdrum. Instead, I’d rather round up some sheep, spend my days in the meadow hearing them bleat. Or arranging flowers in fragrant bouquets, or collecting shells in the wake of the waves. How about helping little children count blocks or working in a bakery test-tasting the stock? My dream task is traveling until I reach Maine. Then I’d toss juicy blueberries in buckets all day—I’m sure that would be my favorite chore! Sigh… now it’s back to the dishes and cleaning the floor.
