Yesterday I had the opportunity to spend time in LA with my grand-munchkin (at 17 months she’s no longer a tiny baby!). I had a light bulb moment and brought her the giant tin full of my plastic cookie cutters… and she had a blast playing with them for about five minutes. Alas, my patience for making rolled cookies (and dealing with the corresponding mess) has long gone bye. But they are wonderful toys and will be fun for coloring and Play-Doh after a while.
Then we went to the park… just a little one, tucked away in a secret spot. So much fun! There were a few other munchkins doing their own thing, everyone taking turns, and being polite and awesome. My little one wanted to go on the slide, but we weren’t sure she was ready to go by herself, so Nana went too. Mommy (that would be my daughter) snapped some cute shots, but we don’t blog the munchkin. β€οΈ
I didn’t keep up too well with Blogland this weekend ~ apologies. Had a bunch of stuff going on and then my family visit. I will try to check in with everyone who comments on my posts in the next few days. Thanks to those who are following my serial fiction. I appreciate you! π
I’m going to use this as my Weekly Smile as well as calling myself a Fan of… Parks! πΏ

Indeed we do. They grow up so quickly, we need to be with them more to see all the phases.

Sounds like you had a great time with the munchkin. Although the cookie cutters are a good idea, I would be much more into the park as well π

I’m so happy to hear that you had a wonderful time with your grand-munchkin. Also, I am quite impressed you didn’t show photos of your grandchild… It’s so important to keep them safe. Good for you! π
That’s what I used to call my niece, Munchkin.
The idea of the cookie-cutters was a great one.

It’s so fun to spend time with the grandkids. Good idea for the cookie cutters. I have so many of them, and don’t plan on using them any more, so should let the kids have them. π

Thanks, I was going to toss them until I thought… hey, these would be fun to play with! Sheβs still to little for crayons and doh, but not for long!

I’m not a cookie maker but the process for making dog treats is the same, and it uses up my spent brewing grains. Frugality win!
