Apple [flash 99]

Apple

Witch, they named her, shamed her, and banished her from the kingdom. It was the King’s plot, so he could wed another. From the forest people she learned of the wicked plague that would soon strike down all in the land, servant and noble child alike. The fairies saw the disgraced queen crying and gave her the magic antidote, hidden in an apple. She disguised herself as a beggar and traveled back to the castle, where she enticed her darling daughter to bite. The little healers took the girl away and kept her safe until the plague had passed.
