In Other Words, fireworks…

Fireworks are fun when professionally done,

But setting them off in the street is just idiotic.

They scare all our pets and make such a mess!

So, unless you’re doing a Boston Tea (and invite me),

Remember that lawbreaking is not patriotic!

  1. Saw some great ones last night over Newport Harbor! I know our kitteh will be hiding under a bed when she hears the neighbors setting off the stinkin’ firecrackers. Ugh.

    • Oh that must have been awesome! Iโ€™m going tomorrow to see Hotel California again at the OC fairgrounds and there will be fireworks after. Yayyy! Happy 4th! โค๏ธ

  3. It started last week. There’s a ravine that’s handy for these fireworks behind my building, and it goes on every night. Unfortunately I’m in the front if the bldg so I can’t see them, only hear them!

  5. I applaud your effort in what you wrote Paula! But every year the law breaking and danger to pets and children just keeps getting worse, sadly. Those professional fireworks are the same each year costing billions of dollars while there are so many people going hungry and can’t find decent housing. I do love that last line! ๐Ÿ˜€ โค

  6. It seems there are more fireworks now then when I was a kid. They can be scary but I have to admit I like to see them. But I agree that they are not meant to be played with. Thanks for sharing.
