Thursday Inspiration 10

Welcome to Thursday Inspiration! This is my weekly prompt post and hopefully it will inspire you to write something creative, perhaps a poem or a piece of flash fiction. If you’d like to share your writing with the community, please indulge me and tag your post with #p0eticlicense and/or #lightm0tifs, and of course link back if you wish. I will try to visit everyone who participates. 🙂

This week’s theme is music and the picture is below. Here is the song snippet from “The Sound of Music,” written by Rodgers and Hammerstein in 1959:

The hills are alive with the sound of music
With songs they have sung for a thousand years
The hills fill my heart with the sound of music
My heart wants to sing every song it hears

  2. Ah, The Sound of Music. I’ve seen the film many times, the most memorable being stranded in Kendal on holiday in 1967 when the gearbox failed on the car and it was the only thing showing at the cinema. My Dad hadn’t seen it, Mum had the previous week with a working colleague and it was my fifth outing.
