We kissed on the cold sand
Until the rains came.
When the world shattered,
I was a hunter’s prize,
Black lace, wet sheets.
The miles between us
Made it easier to lie,
Until I froze too.
We spiral down so far so fast;
I am the bag of broken glass.

ReVerse is a new poem created of one line each from a collection of older poetry. I took mine from some of the pieces in Going Dark, published in 2014. I learned about ReVerse at Kat’s blog.
This was also for Thursday Inspiration 7.
Wowzers! I love it Paula! Very good verses!

My pleasure. I wrote my first ReVerse 20 years ago…though it wasn’t called a ReVerse then. I love pulling lines from old poems and creating new ones. π
