Three Things Challenge: PL89

Welcome to the Three Things Challenge. Every day at 10PM (PST) I will post three seemingly unconnected things that will, hopefully, ignite your muse. You don’t have to use all three things if you don’t want to. There are no restrictions on length, style, genre, or anything. Simply read the prompt, see where your muse takes you, and bring us along for the ride. Use 3TC as a tag if you’d like and link back to this prompt, or post your link in the comments below so others can find you.

Happy Writing! 😀

  5. As a ten year old boy, I could do naught but frown. I had just spotted a shoelace hanging from a window box on Nana’s house and I was certain it was one I’d lost last Christmas. I’d gotten in trouble for that. I’d had to cut the remaining one in half so I could tie both my shoes.

There were other laces hanging there, different lengths and colours. Nana was poking around in her garden nearby so, pointing at the incriminating evidence, I said, “Nana, why?”

“That’s easy my boy,” She replied with a grin, “Only way to grow a good icicle down here in the valley. Wait till you come back in a few months, you’ll see.”

Well, I came back alright, with a shoebox full of laces, different lengths and colours. My Nana was delighted.
