Three Things Challenge: PL88

Welcome to the Three Things Challenge. Every day at 10PM (PST) I will post three seemingly unconnected things that will, hopefully, ignite your muse. You don’t have to use all three things if you don’t want to. There are no restrictions on length, style, genre, or anything. Simply read the prompt, see where your muse takes you, and bring us along for the ride. Use 3TC as a tag if you’d like and link back to this prompt, or post your link in the comments below so others can find you.

Happy Writing! ๐Ÿ˜€

  6. The jazz combo was finishing their session. She would soon join the piano player for her last set of the evening. She stood and looked at the pixie like figure in the mirror. She had chosen the cherry red dress and lipstick to balance her porcelain skin and long blonde hair. The patrons seemed to enjoy the look and she could feel almost human as she sang for them, knowing their eyes would be judging her.

She picked up the white butterfly clasp from the table and pinned it over her heart. She opened the door just as the drummer nailed his final flourish. One last glance at the half empty whisky bottle sitting on the table and she stepped out into the hallway, climbed the five steps and walked through the satin curtain onto the stage.
