Early Meeting [flash 150]

Saffron opened her iPad on the clubhouse table. “I made an outline for today’s schedule of play. Barbies at eleven, then lunch. Sidewalk chalk at two, then jump roping or swings and slides at the park. Snacks at three followed by painting and beads.”

“I think I have a prior commitment this afternoon,” Nevaeh said.

Brioche started to cry. “You promised to do beads with me this time, Neenee! You’re a big fat liar!”

“You can’t call me fat!”

Saffron stood up. “Girls! Let’s not have a brouhaha over this. I could switch beads and Barbies, I suppose.” She frowned at her iPad.

“I’m not allowed to cross the street to go to the park anyway,” Brioche said. “Daddy told me the intersection there is too dangerous.”

“Ughhh!” Saffron exclaimed. “I’m going to have to redo this whole schedule. It’s a good thing we met early to plan our day.”

  1. I just suddenly realized that I think of “Nevaeh” as a normal name now. Is that normal?
